Blue Bucket Kino was founded by Noah Wu Fried and Sam Wade, who met in middle school. We aim to change the face of the film industry, and highlight the voices of independent cinema. Inspired by filmmakers like Wong Kar-wai, Terrence Malick, and the Safdie Brothers, who created their own visual languages to tell new stories, we are constantly working to surprise ourselves as well as our audiences, and push the boundaries of what filmmaking can accomplish.

Noah (director, writer) is a graduate of Columbia University with a BA in mathematics. Sam (writer, actor) is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in drama.
